I only had a small odd shaped piece of the dark red fabric but I didn't want to cut it up too small and lose the bold pattern. This design evolved while I was making it and I succeeded in using almost every last scrap! The 'redwork' design on the back seemed to compliment it perfectly and makes for a truly reversible quilt. I hope you like it.

Machine pieced Irish Chain patchwork lap quilt in striking red, green and white. On the reverse is a charming printed 'redwork stitchery' design (from Moda Fabrics). The quilt is free motion machine quilted with large flowers and a trailing leaf design.
Just the perfect size to curl up with in a favourite chair, it measures about a metre square. It is made from 100% cotton with a lightweight polyester wadding inside and can be carefully machine washed on a low temperature and air dried.
