A handmade cross stitch and backstitch original textile artwork, made to my own pattern, using white cotton DMC thread over midnight blue 28 count cotton base, and framed in a 5 inch wooden hoop.

The image depicts two stylised mirror image rabbits surrounded by a stylised flower wallpaper motif.

The back of the artwork is neatly finished with deep blue felt.

This item will arrive to you beautifully gift wrapped - and, if intended as a gift, easily opened if you wish to look at the picture before you give it.

This artwork - and others I have made or I’m in the process of making for my blue and white series - has been inspired by a mixture of paper cut art, Scandinavian style and folk design.
I have a particular fondness for certain colour combinations - blue and white being one of them - which luckily for me blends perfectly with my wish to recreate the feel of paper cut art and for the beautiful simplicity, of my first love, Scandinavian style.
I don’t think I will ever have the skill required to create the beautiful paper cut art in its own right, but, I can do a pretty good recreation of it with my comfort zone tools of a needle and thread.
