I was inspired when dyeing the metal, I loved the greeny blue colours which reminded me of the colour of the sea in St Ives (my favourite place), so I made some waves and put a little fish in it!

Full description
This whimsical little brooch is made from aluminium which I have dyed in lovely sea greens and blues, I then seal the dye so that it becomes a permanent part of the metal. The waves have been cut out by hand using a piercing saw and filed at the edges so that the waves have a silvery edge to them. The little fish has also been saw pierced and then riveted on using a hand made rivet. The brooch fastening is attached to the back of the brooch and is made from stainless steel.
The brooch measures approximately 32mm x 27mm.
