Usually £36, now £30. This striking frame has been hand-made in shiny modern pewter and would make a special and unique gift for a man or woman for a 10th Wedding Anniversary, Birthday, Fathers' Day or any other special occasion. Measuring 173 x 220mm overall, it will take a photograph of 4 x 6 inches. The reverse has a stand. This item is reduced as, instead of completely wrapping the frame in pewter I have mounted the metal just on the front of the frame and put it slightly off centre. The appearance of the frame is only slightly affected and may not even be noticed.
Each pewter piece has been individually made by hand (not cast) to my own design. A pattern is raised on a sheet of pewter, then the raised area is filled. The item is then mounted on a rigid base,chemically patinated, then polished.Modern pewter is lead-free and after patination has a shiny,almost reflective,finish.It does not blacken like silver and can be brightened, if necessary,with a smear of metal polish and a buffing with a soft cloth.
