A stunning pear-shaped natural Picture Jasper stone like this needs very little to improve it.

I have created a sturdy woven wire bale and a Dragonfly using Antique Bronze coloured wire and more Picture Jasper for the body.

The dragonfly is suspended by a single ring, allowing lots of movement in the piece.

The pendant stone is approx. 5.5x3.5cm and is hung on a matching 18" chain.

Picture Jasper is one of my favourite stones to work with. Every landscape imagined in a piece tells a different story. When I am lucky enough to work with this stone, I like to keep the fittings simple. This year I am challenging myself to create more organic shapes in wire: Dragonflies, butterflies, flowers, all sorts...so keep an eye out for more of those!
