Full description
A beautiful square, wooden, jewellery box with marquetry decoration on the lid, it measures 8in x 8in x 2.5in. The stag is Sycamore set in a background of Bird's Eye Maple and the border is Yew crossbanding. Sycamore is also used for the body of the box which has mitred corner joints decorated with inlaid splines and a golden crushed velvet lining. A high quality wax polish was used to give the lustrous finish.
