Full description
A lovely square, wooden, jewellery box with marquetry decoration on the lid, the outside dimensions are 8in x 8in x 2.5in. The stag is Bird's Eye Maple set in a background of stained Ash and the border is Yew crossbanding. Yew is also used for the body of the box which has a base lining of dark blue cotton velvet and mitred corner joints which are decorated with inlaid splines. High quality wax polish was used to give a lustrous finish.
