A gorgeous, on trend and handmade to my own pattern, crocheted ear warmer/headband; made from beautiful berry and purple mix coloured silk and extra fine merino wool mix yarn by Manos del Uruguay, ( 30% silk 70% extra fine merino wool ).
It is finished at the joining point with one of my signature flower motifs in the same yarn.

The yarn used to make this headband has occasional shots of blue grey and lilac running through the predominant shades of ruby, berry, maroon and burgundy which makes each item made with it unique.

The headband measures approximately 20 inches in circumference and approximately 3 inches in width at its widest point when unstretched.
It comfortably fits my own head, which is 22 inches, due to the natural stretch and give of both the yarn and crochet stitch used to create this piece.

This item should be hand washed, reshaped whilst damp and dried flat.

Manos del Uruguay is a non profit organisation which supports cooperatives throughout the countryside of Uruguay, the aim of which is to bring economic and social opportunities to rural women. The yarn is hand dyed in large kettles which produces a beautiful colour dispersion.
