Inside this matchbox is an accordion card fold with a poem and a surprise…
The box is a decorated craft matchbox using a hand tinted photo, printed on copier paper, and sandpaper.
Please note it is not a real, with matches, type.
The poem is ‘Forgiven’ by A.A. Milne and anyone who knows children (or beetles) should love this…
For me this poem encapsulates the degree of righteous indignation only a child can muster!
Also in the box (cover your eyes now if you don’t want to ruin the surprise) is …
…a rather large and possibly surprised beetle!
(Don’t worry no real beetles were harmed in the making of this box, I only used card ones).
There is a spare auxiliary beetle in case Alexander Beetle gets lonely. Both are embellished with gleam from coloured gilding foil.
