Full description
I have made 3 of these really nice clocks from slices that I have cut from a belfry support which I sourced from Hoxton road Methodist church during its demolition last year, it is primarily a wall clock but is also freestanding, the superb wood is pitch pine over 150 years old and still beautiful with its year growth rings sharply defined.you might have noticed the offset hands set so that the rings radiate around them. PS Pitch pine is not to be confused with any European pines. It is native to north east America, Honduras and the Caribbean only. Pitch pine is one of the finest pines available. The timber is harder and more resilient than most pines. Having a rich colour and decorative grain, and in my opinion standing head and over shoulders above the rest.
