Full description
I have only recently become enchanted by the possibilities that wood can offer to the world of jewellery and other little items. Compared with making furniture, I have found that working with wood at this scale opens the eyes to a different world: the micro-beauty of wood.
I have lived with this memory stick for a few days, deciding whether to keep it for my own use!
It has a lovely feel and look to it. Yew wood is one of my favourite timbers; it has such lovely colouring and takes a fine finish. I have left the bark on this one to give it extra 'treeness'.
I do favour a finish that allows the ‘woodiness’ of the material to show through rather than a glossy varnish and most of what I have on sale feature an oil and hard wax finish.
Superstitious?
…then with a wooden memory stick, you can always ‘Touch Wood’!
This memory stick has 1 Gigabyte of memory. 1 GB will accept anything between 250 and 1000 photographs depending on quality settings.
The memory stick measures about 3" x 1.5" x 0.6". The 'business end' , at 1.2" is a little wider than most memory sticks so you will need to make sure it will fit. Or it definitely will work with a little extension lead.
