This is an original design, only from Pinegrove. I originally created the style for a Kindle case, and have been asked to produce it for other devices - so here it is for the iPad.
The hair-on cowhide can be replaced with a grainy red-tan leather if you prefer. Just add a message to your order. This style case can also be made for other tablets.
This item is sent with courier tracking (recorded delivery or Airsure) as default, due to its value.

Pinegrove promises to adhere to the standard Folksy returns policy: If you are not 100% satisfied with your case then return it within 14 days in its original packaging for a full refund including the return postage costs or a replacement. Otherwise we expect it to last a long long time! Faulty items should be returned within six months of payment being made, but please note that leather is an organic material and has the naturally occurring marks of any genuine animal skin: this is part of its natural beauty. Where hair-on cowhide is part of the design, we have carefully chosen the pattern that will appear on every piece, and provide customers with options in terms of the balance of brown, white etc.
Please note that if your order is being posted outside mainland UK, you (or the recipient) may have to pay customs or VAT charges and a handling fee. The seller is not responsible for any charges or fees that may incur.
Full description
This envelope style pocket case is a snug fit for an iPad (versions 2, 3 & 4) and features modern-vintage styling. It is made from thick leather in two different finishes. The back and flap is in a smooth dark brown waxy leather, whilst the front is softer with an embossed buffalo texture and a darker hue, almost black. The reverse side of this leather is very soft and will care for your iPad screen. The weight and stiffness of these leathers has been an important consideration - around 2 to 2.5mm thickness. They provide a lightweight case that gives your iPad good protection, when either thrown in a bag or carried around the house or office.
This case has a replaceable silicone thong closure system. The thong is attached to an eyelet (grommet) in antique brass, then looped around a thick hand-made leather button to fasten. An alternative closure can be provided using a leather strap around the whole case. Please ask for details.
A flash of real hair-on cowhide has been added to reinforce the eyelet as well as to provide a focal point for the piece. Alternatively you can order the case with a red-tan piece, see the images.
