A similar item was spotted when we visited Lanhydrock House in Cornwall. Lanhydrock is a National Trust property and the vegetable box was seen " downstairs" and had been there about 150 years. I made mine from reclaimed wood of a simlar era and carefully sanded it back to reveal some original paintwork. The back was then painted in Farrow and Ball Shaded White.
This is a custom-made item and cannot be returned unless faulty.

A useful and attractive way to store your fruit and vegetables. Based on an original design found in Lanhydrock House, Cornwall and given a vintage french country style.Handmade from reclaimed pine and part painted in Farrow and Ball Shaded White. Does not include contents.These are not kept in stock and are made to order.
