Full description
This handmade journal was made from a 100% cotton fabric. Beautifully designed by Caroline Simas for Robert Kaufman the birds are scattered on branches on crisp white cloth and the mother birds are beautifully patterned with leaves and flowers. I hand stitched the seven signatures together using natural hemp twine and included three satin ribbons, lilac, lemon and pink with white spots. The spine has been left exposed because I think it is a nice feature to this handmade journal, and I have tied the ribbons into bows.
There are irregularities with this handmade journal; the cutting and folding of the paper is not perfectly flush.
This journal would make an ideal Christmas or Birthday gift. It is lovely to look at, but it is also useful and practical.
Measurements: Journal is A5 size, 15.5cm (6ins) wide x 21cm (8.25ins) long. All sizes are approximate.
