Full description

Blue Faced Leicester top (or rovings in the USA) is one of my favourite wools to spin with. It is easy to spin even for novice spinners as well as being soft and lustrous.

This fibre will felt.

Each roving has been carefully handpainted to assure random colours so you can spin straight off the roving if you want to without getting big blocks of colour(except where that is part of the colourway) or pull it apart to mix and match the colours .

This roving is 163 grammes (5.8 ounces) in weight.

I often use sections of roving split into thinner pieces for crochet or knitting items that are to be felted....make sure your strips are of equal thickness (unless you want thick & thin bits) and give them a little twist with your tensioning hand as you knit. The resulting fabric is gorgeous and works out a cheaper way of using fabulous handpainted fibres than having to buy handspun yarn to then felt.

I do my very best to ensure that colours in photos are accurate however not all computer monitors display colours the same (I like my friend's description of 'monitors are like TV's...go into a tv shop and the pictures all look a slightly different colour)so please be aware you may not see exactly the colours my computer shows.
