This is a handmade notebook, made from a recycled old Monopoly board game. The notebook shows part of a Monopoly game board. The front cover shows Mayfair, Park Lane, Old Kent Road etc., the back cover Oxford Street, Regent Street, Go to Jail, Piccadilly etc.

This notebook is hand-stitched by me with a strong white linen bookbinding thread. It uses a method called coptic stitching, which is where you can see the stitch-work on the spine, and has the added advantage that the book lines flat when opened in the middle, unlike many notebooks.

I only ever use unwanted materials which are damaged, incomplete or are being thrown out with the rubbish! Please note that these notebook covers may have marks, blemishes or other superficial damage, that’s part of their charm. If they were in perfect condition, they wouldn’t be upcycled! The notebook in the picture is the exact one you will receive however, so you should be able to see the condition very well.

The notebook contains at least 100 pages (50 sheets) of high quality thick cream paper bound by white stitching.
