I found this camera in a local sale. It seemed a shame to let it go unsold. It now has a new life as a clock.

Full description

The Kodak Vest Pocket Autographic was a "vest pocket" strut folding camera advertised as "The Soldier's camera" during WWI, which

added the Autographic feature to the 1912 Vest Pocket Kodak. It was manufactured by Kodak from 1915 to 1926. The camera back had an area through which notes could be written onto the paper backing of the special 127 film, a feature invented by Henry J. Gaisman. It had a Kodak Anastigmatic f/7.7 lens.

When folded it wasn't much bigger than many of todays compact cameras at 2.5 x 12 x 6.5 cm. Technically this camera was far superior to other cameras made decades later.

Being approximately 100 years old the camera does show signs of wear as would be expected. I've refrained from over restoring it and just given it a general clean up.

The clock movement is a high quality sweeping movement and the second hand moves smoothly with no jerking. The movement comes with a 12 month warranty. The clock movement was a tight fit. However, I didn't damage the bellows and the battery is easily

accessible.

The bellows are still flexible and attached to the body of the camera.Just in case, I've kept the original lens(supplied but not shown), so if necessary the camera can be restored at a later date.

Complete with box.

This clock makes an excellent talking point and an ideal gift for the photographer or geek.

Being quite small it makes an ideal gift for posting anywhere.

Expedited delivery can be arranged anywhere for £5.00 extra.
