applique & embroidery turquoise peace dove textile art.
based on an original drawing by Little Black Heart, this embroidery has been entirely handmade by me on a domestic sewing machine.
the bird is in a cotton printed fabric, with a bright red heart on its chest, and pink wing and tail feather details. the same fabrics are used for the tiny leaves which decorate the branches.
the fabrics are layered and appliqued onto calico, before i draw onto them with free machine embroidery (free motion embroidery).
this cute little picture measures approximately
13cm x 13cm (5” x 5”)
and is 4cm deep, stretched over a canvas box frame.
everything is cut, stitched & drawn freehand by me, ensuring it is unique, well made and securely constructed.
i aim to post items out within 24 hours of payment, via first class mail.
