I adore buttons and have rather a large collection. As a seamstress I wanted to make my own . These are so simple yet unusual, even though the design is inspired by Buttons made in the 1600's.

This Handmade Button is inspired by Dorset buttons that were made from the 1600's.
The Button comes with a shank so you can sew it on as an embellishment or use as a button. You can also choose to have a brooch pin sewn on to the back if you would rather attach the Button that way.
This Button has been made using one continuous length of cotton floss. This helps insure the Button stays very strong. Inside the Button is a chunky solid wooden ring which gives it a lovely solid feel as well as a nice weight. The Button measures 2 1/2 inches in diameter and has a depth of 1/2 an inch.
This Button is backed in felt . The material to the front of the button is 100% cotton .
