Full description
This little box has been handmade using genuine Harris Tweed and handmade felt.
The walls and base are made with a plaid Tweed in soft pastel blues, pinks and greens which blend perfectly with the soft shades of the felt and make a pretty surround for the little landscape. More tweed in soft pink is used to line the box and the sides, base and lid are reinforced with recycled plastic to make it nice and sturdy.
The landscape is made using wet felted merino fibres with silk clouds.The cottage and sheep are needle felted on by hand and a little bit of stitch adds detail.
The lid is weighted down with a little silver tone key. As the box is textile, there will always be gaps around the edges of the lid.
Comes in a cardboard craft box with a pretty ribbon. This gives protection to the box during shipping and makes it perfect to give as a gift or a treat to yourself.
I love making these little boxes and although there are similarities in the design, each one is different from the last. They are also in limited supply as I am very busy making new work for gift shops that sell my work here in Scotland.
