I wanted to make something that reflected the colours of a long hot summer. A long hot summer holiday. Something bright and pretty to look at when the weather would inevitably turn sallow. Something to make you smile.

Full description
This original Valentines love bird, hearts and flowers motif artwork has been designed and stitched by me using cotton DMC thread in colours of pink, hot pink, hot orange and turqoise, over 28 count white linen.
The picture is mounted in a 8 inch wooden embroidery hoop, the material has been securely fixed in place and the back finished neatly with white eco friendly felt, ( the felt has been made from recycled plastic bottles ).
This lovely artwork can be displayed propped against a wall for its backdrop, it can be hung over a picture hook using the screw fastening as it is or by adding a loop of ribbon to the screw fastening as an extra hanging embellishment.
A beautiful addition to any room - would make beautiful Valentines or Wedding gift.
