Full description
Purpleheart (Petogyne Venosa) from Brazil, when first cut the wood is a dull brown, but on exposure to the UV from the Sun, the wood turns purple due to resins within.
The butterfly is aprox 60mm x 50mm and about 4mm thick. It comes on 50mm of 1.5mm round balck leather with silver plate ends and a carob closure.
