The yarn used for this set is Manos del Uruguay Silk/Merino Blend, which is a super soft DK yarn. You can knit the whole set with just 200g of yarn, which makes this a pretty cheap gift set (or scrummy treat for yourself!)
I was inspired to make this set when camping in British spring time. Our weather is a bit hit and miss, and in the day it can be lovely, but at night it can get really cold! This hat is perfect – it’s warm enough to keep the chill off yet light enough so that you’re not getting sweaty.

Currently I am offering the whole set of my Nordic Lace Patterns for only £8.00. The set comprises of a hat, cowl and pair of fingerless mitts, usually £3.50 each.
Hat -Materials
2 x 270m/300yd 3.5oz/100g Skein Manos del Uruguay Silk Blend Colour 2444, or similar DK weight yarn.
1 x 3mm (US 3) x 30cm circular needle.
1 x 3.5mm (US4) x 30cm circular needle or 5 x double pointed needles.
Hat Sizes - Small (Approx 53-56cm/21-22.5”) 28 sts and 40 rows on 3.5mm (US4) needles
Medium (Approx 57-59cm/22.5-23.5”) 25 sts and 39 rows on 4mm (US5) needles
Large (Approx 60-62cm/23.5-24.4”) 23sts and 35 rows on 4.5 (US6)needles
