Did you ever wonder how Father Christmas keeps warm in the frozen North? Well feast your eyes on his thermals and wonder no more! All of my Father Christmas decorations will keep snug on their journey to your home this year.

Before he took on his robes of scarlet and ermine Father Christmas wore a much more modest and practical garb. He is after all a man of the arctic wilderness, living in the Finnish tundra amongst the reindeer.

On top of his long johns he is clothed in a dark brown linen smock and trousers, brown felt boots, forest green felt cloak and moss green mittens. His accessories are a leather belt with 'pewter' buckle and a linen sack large enough to hold a present for each child in the world....practically you may prefer to insert a clementine or stocking filler instead!

The original Father Christmas was wishing peace for the world and "Hyvää Joulua" to all. This is because he was made for my daughter who has been brought up with a Finnish step-dad. Your Father Christmas will be made to order so you can choose your festive greeting in whichever language you prefer. Please specify your chosen wording when placing your order.

Santa stands at approximately 45 cm tall and has jointed legs so that he can sit on a mantelpiece or bookcase comfortably.
