We have always had a great love of herbs and grow around 200 varieties on our farm. We started making bath and beauty products for ourselves. We then started selling them and having personally had bad experiences with chemicals in commercial products, we decided on a 100% natural ingredients policy. We grow as much as possible on our farm to keep our carbon footprint low. We believe the knowledge of herbs must be preserved and passed on. We hope you enjoy our products as much as we do. This 100% natural body butter is the perfect emollient for very sensitive skin, but it is also a luxurious and rejuvenating chemical free moisturiser for everyone. It's sebum balancing properties and non-comedogenic (non pore blocking) oils mean it will improve dry, oily or normal skin.
The essential oils in this cream will help the skin balance it's natural oil production, reduce inflammation, encourage cell regeneration and heal scars. The infused Calendula is one of the oldest known traditional, natural remedies for eczema and psoraisis. This cream is completely chemical free so it is a safe and effective emollient for the most sensitive skin (unlike the creams you buy in the chemist or get from the doctor).
We grow Calendula Officinalis (otherwise known as Pot Marigold) at our farm on the Mendip Hills. Calendula is one of the most ancient healing herbs and has been renown for it's remarkable qualities for thousands of years. Because it heals, rejuvenates, has anti-inflammatory qualities and an antimicrobial effect, it is used for cuts and abrasions, nappy rash and chapped lips, any sort of inflamed skin and as a general healing and rejuvenating preparation. It's uses are, in fact, far too many to mention. We love it for it's excellent and broad skin care qualities which is why we grow, pick and dry the flowers. We then remove the petals by hand and use them to infuse our base oils, which we then use to make our Calendula rich oil based products.
