Full description
Recycling of silver spoons is not a new concept, it has been going on since the 17th century.
Servants would pilfer the silver cutlery from their masters house to fashion into wedding rings.
I liked the idea of re-using antique and vintage cutlery and fashioning them into something that could be worn, appreciated and possibly passed on to following generations.
This ring had a former life as a Victorian teaspoon, part of a set of six and matching sugar tongs.
The original Hallmark has been discarded as part of the design. Assayed in Sheffield in 1896, made by John Walton
I have spiralled the spoon handle, finished the metal with a patina, giving the ring a "vintage look".
Size " R " Can be resized by 1 or 2 sizes.
Very individual and 100% recycled.
Supplied with a presentation box
Made in my home in North Wales
Designed by Ann Catherall in N. wales
