I love Autumn.
It is far and away my favourite season.
I adore the changing colours of the trees, the falling leaves, the crisp, clear, early autumn days, the thrill of buying new knitwear to wrap up warm in.
The deep colours of this corsage beautifully complement the colours of the season and look particularly lovely when it is pinned to your hat.

Full description
This lovely brooch has been made to a pattern of my own design using Manos del Uruguay silk blend yarn - a mix of 30% silk and 70% extra fine merino wool.
Manos del Uruguay - a non profit organisation which supports cooperatives throughout the countryside of Uruguay, the aim of which is to bring economic and social opportunities to rural women.
The yarn is hand dyed in large kettles which produces a beautiful colour dispersion.

The corsage is made as a triple layer flower - a base of ruby berry colour with a complementary golden mustard 3rd layer. It is finished at the centre with a crochet 'button' in the same ruby berry yarn as the base layer.
The majority ruby berry colour of this brooch has occasional shots of blue grey running through it which makes each brooch made with it unique
It measures approximately 2.75in / 7 cm at its widest point.
It is finished on the back with a 1 and 1/4 inch silver toned safety rolling catch bar pin - please note the brooch back was electroplated with a composite nickle-silver alloy.
