.A set of four stylish coasters, each featuring a stunning Black iridescent shiny surface reflecting gold, purple and blue colours in the light.
Each coaster measures approx 9 x 9 cm (3.5 x 3.5 in) and has four little silicon bumpers beneath to protect surfaces.
This set was created by hand in my home studio, using only fully tested compatible best quality art glass. Each coaster consists of two pieces of art glass, which is fired and properly annealed in my kiln. The base glass is opaque black.
Each coaster has its own characteristics, but are all cut from the same sheet of art glass. All feature a beautiful black iridescence - rather like oil on top of water, but much nicer. Because of the nature of this glass, they look different colours in different lights.
Because of the nature of glass, each coaster is a tiny work or art, so no two will be exactly the same.
Fused glass is extremely durable and these wonderful contemporary coasters are ideal for hot or cold drinks.
These coasters will make an unusual gift for just about anyone. The sets can be broken up to give as gifts for teachers or work colleagues. Please let me know if you want your purchase gift wrapped and a gift tag included.
