I love hydrangeas and have worked with the dried petals to make cards and pictures. Here I am exploring their use in 3D. I love their simple shapes and varying colours. I am also working with vintage sewing and haberdashery items as they speak of a time gone by when the gentle art of sewing and mending was such an integral part of life.

Full description
As a vintage Sylko cotton reel as a base, here is a beautiful and delicate assemblage using three real dried hydrangea flowers on wire stems in varying shades of grey, lilac and pink. The cotton reel has been covered with old script printed paper and tied with vintage crochet cotton.
This is an unusual and beautiful piece and would make a special gift. It comes to you in a gift box. The height is approximately 7 inches
