I love vintage style crochet and like to find ways of wearing it in everyday life. I wear a lot of hair accessories myself and also make them for my daughter. I have experimented with many different types of hair slides, clips, grips etc and this is one of my favourite styles. It has a real antique / vintage look to it and is very wearable. This colour is a deep green, like a pine tree, which feels perfect for autumn and winter. One of my favourite colours. The crystal centre looks so pretty with it, I love this one!

Full description
I crocheted this hair slide in a gorgeous, dark green silk thread, in a traditional Irish Rose design. The thread is pure silk, with a natural lustre to it. The centre of the rose is decorated with a Swarovski crystal bead. The crystal has an " aurora borealis" coating and is really pretty. The rose is firmly crocheted and sewn onto the silver-plated hair slide. I never use glue in my work and always use hook and needle skills to attach components, as this gives a more secure and aesthetically pleasing finish. The silver plated hair slide is high quality and strong.
I chose a thin thread, to give the rose a delicate, intricate look, and crocheted it firmly to make sure that it holds its shape well.
The rose measures approximately 5cm (2 inches) across.
This item will be wrapped in recycled, acid and bleed free tissue paper and a reusable gift box ( also made from recycled card).
I send all items by Royal Mail First Class. I am able to send items by Recorded or Special Delivery at an additional cost by request. Please contact me if you would like this option (subject to Royal Mail conditions)
