I love traditional 'English piecing' by hand and enjoyed designing the contrast between the hand pieced hexagon flowers and the rectangles.

Full description
This stunning king size quilt features cotton floral and plain fabrics in shades of blues with pink and green detailing.
The design comprises a series rectangles that make a striking frame to the central hexagons in flower shapes that are dotted across the quilt.
The hexagons are made by hand in the traditional ‘English piecing’ style using hexagon shaped paper templates over which the fabric is hand stitched. A number of hexagons are then stitched together to make a unique flower shape.
The rectangles are stitched by machine and the hexagons are completely handmade.
The quilt has a plain white cotton backing and medium weight wadding.
The quilt measures approximately 2m 68cm wide by 2m 85cm long (105 x 112 inches).
This is a unique, one-off item that looks equally beautiful across the entire bed or folded in half and located across the bottom half of a bed - and it's totally cosy!
