Paper lanterns have long been symbols of joy and celebration; they provide a festive and colourful addition to any room:) When I found this vintage sheet music I knew the paper would make a unique item and adding the reclaimed pages from these salvaged books made a unique and interesting shade.

Light up your home in style with this paper lamp shade made with reclaimed vintage sheet music and book pages in a lovely artichoke shape design. Eco chic!
Handcut paper circles are applied to a paper lampshade with a wire structure inside so the finished lantern is quite strong and durable.
The paper is from salvaged copies of the classic books Jane Eyre, Far From the Madding Crowd, Wuthering Heights, and vintage sheet music. The paper has a lovely natural aged vanilla colour and is perfect for softening the harsh light of energy-saving bulbs.
The shade looks lovely unlit and glows beautifully when lit.
The listing is for the paper shade only, the lantern is designed for use with a standard ceiling pendant type lampshade holder.
The lantern is created with a 12" (30.5cm) diameter paper lampshade; the finished circumference is approx 37". The maximum light bulb recommended for this size paper lantern is a 60W /11W energy-saving bulb.
Packaged for shipping in a strong mailing box, carefully wrapped to arrive safely.
