Some time ago, I spent a lot of time on Tring Summit on the Grand Union canal, where there are many beautiful and stately ash trees and I loved the shape and texture of the seed casings as they covered the towpath in the autumn. Here, I have used my favourite hammer to give a textured finish to the seed case, with a shiny striped onyx for the seed itself. I hope you like this representation of these seedcases. Lovely pair of sterling silver earrings based on ash seed casings with a hammered finish and striped onyx set at the upper end.
These earring are 5.5cm long including the ear wire and each weighs 2.9g.
Please note that these earrings are individually hand made, so minor variations may occur.
