So many old children's books are full of scribbles and torn pages or have their covers pulled off and are destined for pulping. I decided I'd like to save the good parts and give them a new life as something beautiful again. I love the effects of light through paper, and so the idea for these fairy lights was born!

Full description
These are a lovely set of 10 fairy lights which have been made from the pages of a rescued, recycled old Ladybird book. The lights glow beautifully behind the paper casings, which have been cut out and stitched together, showing the well known and loved illustrations on the front, and the familiar style of text on the back .
The lights used are LEDs, so they give out no heat and are battery operated which means they can be displayed anywhere, no need to be close to a socket! (They require 2x AA batteries).
They arrive packaged in a lovely box, tied up with ribbon and a label, as seen in the photo.
Please note: The fairy lights you receive may not be the exact set in the picture, but they will be made from similar images from the Ladybird series and will be equally lovely!
