I've loved the look of these fish ever since I first saw the pattern some years ago. I have recently started painting my dolls with acrylic paint to achieve a whole different effect from using purchased printed fabrics. I hope you like them.

These fish have been swimming in strange waters and have mutated:) An interesting halloween decoration, perhaps, or for goth themed decor.
Item specifics:
61/2" tall, 6" from tip of arm to tip of arm.
Hanging loop of crochet thread .
These fish start as a stuffed calico shape, which is then painted with layers of gesso and acrylic paint. The layers of paint give a subtle sheen to the colours.
Painting with acrylics gives the calico a leathery feel.
The body is a base of black with hints of green, yellow and orange.
The fish face is handpainted.
Completely handmade by me, and handpainted by me from a Pattern by Frowning Francis.
I use recycled packaging wherever possible.
