I get really cold in my little Victorian house, Jumpers can be a bit too much if I'm moving around doing things and I just needed something I could throw on, that wouldn't come untied.
This is based on a Ravelry pattern that I have adapted and altered.

If you want a scarf that doesn't fall off this is perfect. You can wear it under a coat, it looks fantastic over roll necked jumpers and it keeps your neck warm if you have something lower cut on underneath. It's a sort of cropped poncho with a collar.
It has a wonderful Victorian look about it, and can be worn to make looks varying from Steampunk to Romantic.
Made from 6 flowers crocheted together then bordered with the same dip dyed yarn at the hem and a deep crocheted cowl collar. The neck of the collar can be worn up or folded down. It has a delicate picot edge to it to soften the line when it is worn either way.
Colours are blues, purples, browns and dark turquoise.
The yarn is 30% wool and 70% premium acrylic. It has a soft gleam to it and looks more delicate than it is. It can be washed at 40 degrees.
