Full description

This teacosy is constructed from two panels of vintage woollen tweed in shades of olive green mustard, cream and grey. Each panel is lined with a felted 1960's pure wool and angora knitted fabric - as a child I thought it looked like a cut-open tomato, hence the affectionate name. The woolen lining is a fabulous mix of camel, mustard, orange and green - with touches of rust and cream; it has been lightly padded with a locally woven wool.

The panels are joined at the top and bottom, leaving a long slit for both spout and handle -perfect for all types of teapots; the panels are finished with a butter-soft pale yellow leather ribbon tie.

This particular tea cosy measures flat 30cm wide by roughly 22cm tall and is shown here on my favourite Denby 2 1/4 pint teapot but it will happily take a larger pot if required.

If you have a particularly special, small, extra large, or just plain unusual tea pot that you would like a cosy making for; please contact me and I will create a special one to your own measurements.
