Full description
Snowy Owl Print. This is a beautiful scops owl printed on a page from a gorgeous old French book page from Perrault's fairy tales, my friend found this book at a market stall in france she bought it and removed the illustrations to frame and handed the rest of the book on to me.
The book dates from the 1890's and the pages have a lovely aged, creamy texture which it is impossible to capture on the camera. The blue border around the bird is from the original illustrator but the owl is my design and is guarding the story making sure that this treasure is safe forever.
Owls are seen as guardians of wisdom and knowledge this owl is protecting the words on the page and keeping the story forever/
