Why 'the original'?, well because this was my first ever bag. So it has a special place in my heart! Hand drawn line picture of the great King Tut digitally transferred onto a 100% natural cotton (calico) tote bag, 140gsm measuring 38cm (w) x 43cm (h) with long handles.
Such a versatile bag, perfect for everything from shopping to going to the gym. You'll never want to be without it!
I will make this bag to order, and can usually get it out within 24hrs.
Know how your bag is made!
To get his bag from plain and sad to finished and happy requires several carefully taken steps:
- Printing the design using specialised ink and thoughtfully cutting it out with scissors or a scalpel
- Leaving it for at least 20 mins to dry thoroughly
- Preparing the bag by pressing with heat several times in quick bursts to remove excess moisture which can hinder final quality
- Pressing the bag for 30 seconds under high pressure and high heat!
Bags are then given BYKI tags and folded in a way that the design is visible. They are wrapped in string and care instructions are slipped under the string. I do not put them in plastic wallets or anything similar they go straight into an A4 envelope to avoid unnecessary package waste. It is an eco-friendly bag after all!
