I love to store away household bits and bobs in tins and boxes which are attractive enough to be left out on show if necessary.

The unusual Japanese theme on this napkin seemed ideal for decorating boxes and other home items, to make them not only attractive and well-loved/aged looking but perhaps also to be more appropriate for more masculine ‘stuff’!

Full description

This is a plain silver coloured tin with a decorated lid. The lid was painted in a brown base with a heavy white crackle to give it an aged/shabby chic look and then decorated with an unusual Japanese napkin decoupage design. I then varnished the lid twice for protection.

The tin measures 9.25” wide x 7.25” x 3.5” height (23 x 18.5 x 9 cms).

This is an attractive and unusual storage tin which can be used for anything you wish, from letters, stationery and photos to treasures and other memorabilia (although I would not recommend it for food items).
