Lucy's Whale and Me illustration reproduced as an A4 size (29.7 x 21 cm or 11.7 x 8.3 inches) art print on high quality glossy paper.
Each section of the waves is a different piece of patterned fabric, resulting in a wonderfully vibrant image that is great for kids and big kids alike. It makes a beautiful and unforgettable gift and a wonderful feature in a room. The print is easy to frame or simply tack straight onto a wall for instant effect.
How Lucy created this artwork:
1. First the whale and the boy were drawn free hand in pencil onto white paper.
2. The pencil drawing was traced in black fine-liner onto tracing paper.
3. This image was then scanned onto a computer and the black outline was refined.
4. The repeating wave pattern outline was then created on the computer and the whale and boy were placed within this.
5. Then the color, texture and pattern were added to the whale and boy and into each section of each wave were pasted scanned pieces of fabric and drawn pattern.
