This box was inspired by a lovely picture book called Owl Babies by Martin Waddell and Patrick Benson.

Full description
A solid wooden keepsake box decoupaged with my original watercolour and ink illustrations. Inspired by a much-loved picture book, the box shows three babies owls waiting under the star-filled night sky, and then reunited with Mum Owl on the back. Matte varnished for a durable finish, with a waxed interior and night-sky lining.
The dimensions are: h10 x w15 xd9cm. Roomy enough for all sorts of small treasures, it would make a thoughtful, lasting gift for a child.
N.B. This box is hand-painted with paper snipped out by hand i.e. not a pristine 'shop-bought' look.
The unpainted box was sourced from a UK-based family business and is of a really high quality. Made of solid lime and birch, it features hidden hinges and dove-tailed joints.
