I believe these beads are actually real seeds, which have been drilled to form attractive beads and by the looks of it have also been lightly varnished (I’m afraid I’ve had these for quite a while, so this is going by what little I can remember about them from when I bought them!). As natural objects they vary slightly in size and shape, but are all approximately 1.5-2cm in size.
