It has recently been my pleasure to have been introduced to the marvellous and inspiring performance artist Marnie Scarlet. Once I saw her images I just had to make this dolly. I shall be making more.

Full description
Here is the first of my range of 'Scaries' ( as opposed to fairies). This wonderfully detailed hand crocheted dolly ( not for children) is a tribute to the wonderful performance artist Marnie Scarlett.
She stands 16 inches tall ( the dolly, not the real Marnie, she's a little taller than that, especially in heels) and is crocheted in pure cotton yarn and acrylic yarn. Her hair is attached strand by strand on a crocheted cap forming a beautiful mane of mohair/eyelash bright red, her features are carefully embroidered, even her arm tattoo , and her Mexican day of the dead dress is faithfully reproduced in crochet form. She even has red 'fingernails' and crocheted high heel shoes.
What can I say, both the real Marnie and the dolly are beauties.
I've committed to making a limited edition range of ten Marnie dollies due to high demand.
There will be a delay of a week once ordered so I can catch up with making Marnie dolly.
Please remember due to her handmade nature there will be slight variations of the dolly but I shall endeavour to keep her as true to the original as humanly possible.
I shall be making other versions in different outfits in future.
All handmade by me in a smoke free/ pet free ( but not fun free !) home.
