on a post-apocalyptic beach somewhere, this pretty blue beach hut is still standing. tattered red, white & blue bunting still flutters in the radio active breeze. if YOU were a survivor, wouldn't you want to holiday there?
based on an original drawing, this one of a kind embroidered textile art would brighten any post-apocalyptic home.
the hut is made from layered strips of pale blue cotton, and its sturdy door is constructed similarly from white cotton. they are held together by free motion embroidered nails.
the fabrics are layered and appliqued onto pre-washed calico, before i draw detail onto them with free machine (free motion) embroidery.
this cute little picture measures approximately
18cm x 13cm (7 inches x 5 inches)
and is 1.5 cm deep, stretched over a canvas frame.
everything is cut, stitched & drawn freehand by me, ensuring it is unique, well made and securely constructed.
i aim to post items out within 24 hours of payment, via first class mail.
