I've always thought Tunisian crochet makes the perfect bag fabric, as it is tightly woven and sturdy, but it isn't quite so easy to shape it, so I wanted to try to combine the two, the 'fat bottom' bag is perfect for this as the body is made separately in a simple shape, which is easy to make with the Tunisian stitch. I wanted to make a small bag for the summer as no-one wants to lug a big heavy bag around in the heat and the orange was just so bright, sunny and cheerful it had to be done, though the bluey/grey does tone it down a bit.

Full description
This is a twee little 'fat bottom' bag in a vivid orange & bluey/grey stripe, guaranteed to brighten even the dullest of days. The body is Tunisian crochet, which makes a really thick, sturdy fabric with a flat surface, the top and handles are made using traditional crochet. It is lined with an orange coloured poly/cotton fabric and features a little chain link tassel decoration around one of the handles. The bag measures just 12cm tall (not including the handle) by 24cm wide and is just big enough for purse, a phone and your sunnies. All the yarns & lining are new.
