So many books are destined for pulping these days. There are many damaged, unwanted books, which have their covers torn off, lots of scribbling inside or many torn pages. I love rescuing them making something lovely from the good bits and therefore giving them a new life

Full description
These strings of bunting were made from a very damaged and falling apart vintage book about birds. The illustrations were so lovely I had to rescue them. They show all kinds of birds, from tiny little garden birds to birds of prey and sea birds, so beautiful. They will add a touch of vintage charm to any room.
Each string is made up from 8 flags/pages and has bird illustrations on both sides so can be hung across a room and viewed from both sides. The flags measure 10cm x 14.5cm. They are strung on 2.5m of rustic jute twine and can be arranged closely together or spaced further apart, as desired.
Please bear in mind that these are made from very old paper and some do have marks on them. I think this is testament to their former life and just adds to their vintage charm!
