I have built up a collection of vintage carpenters planes which I originally purchased to convert into wall clocks (see my other listings). During this process I remove the handles, I had put them to one side as I knew I would use them at some point. Whilst making some other coat rails recently I remembered these and thought they would be ideal coat hooks.

Full description
This coat rail is made from the handles of five vintage wooden carpenters planes. The handles are all different, they would have originally been hand carved when the planes were made many years ago. I have mounted them on a piece of reclaimed wood and have hand painted cream numbers for added detail. The handles have been drilled, screwed and glued together to make sure they are strong enough to hang a heavy coat or bag from.
The rail and handles have been waxed and been finished off with a hand stamped recycled copper "Reclaimed Time" plaque (on the top of the rail).
This unique work would look great in your home or business.
The wood has been pre-drilled ready to fix to your wall (screws are supplied however you will need to source your own wall fixings as they will be dependent on the type of walls in your property).
