This is the famous "Mad March Hare", a creature predominantly solitary and nocturnal, which is rarely seen except during it's Mad March behaviour, when hares can be seen 'boxing' during courtship. This one, based on our native Brown Hare, looks more docile as he pauses from grazing by moonlight, to sniff the chill spring air around him.

Full description
A small picture of a Hare, 9cm x 14cm. A small selection of yellows-reds were hand-carded together to create a rainbow palette, which was then lightly wet felted into a "pre-felt". The Hare motif was cut from this pre-felt, and then wet-felted onto a blue-green background. The picture has been finished with a few stitches of embroidery silk for definition.
The picture has been taped onto a 20cm x 25cm cream mount.
Your picture will be wrapped in acid-free tissue for transit, and will be posted by First Class post within 3 days of clearance of payment.
