I decided to crochet a unique skin-to-skin baby blanket in extra fine merino yarn that would promote breastfeeding and become a family heirloom. I have used this soft, snuggly yarn as it will be lovely for a newborn baby's delicate skin.
The blanket would also look pretty on a cot or pram

Full description
I have handmade this baby blanket in a double crochet design using top quality Italian 100% extra fine merino yarn called Sublime. The baby blanket is a pretty pink colour and is ideal for use after birth when babies are nursed skin-to-skin.
The yarn is machine washable at 30 degrees.
The blanket measures 77 x 77 cms square and is finished off with an attractive scalloped edging.
